Adoption

We take in stray and unwanted kittens, care for them and rehome them vaccinated and microchipped.

Please see our Facebook page for available kittens.

Give an unwanted kitten a home

Castle Hill Veterinary Hospital is one of the few veterinary hospitals to take in stray and unwanted kittens. They are often found in people’s backyards, but we have had them dumped at our front door or over the fence, and found at bus stops in boxes, in shopping bags in paddocks and in car parks.

Every kitten is fully cared for by our team – often hand-raised by our staff if they are found very young – until they are healthy, sociable and ready for a new home.

Please see our Facebook page for available kittens.

Adopting a kitten from us

Before they go home, every kitten is:

  • Treated for fleas and worms
  • Vaccinated
  • Microchipped
  • Socialised by our team

Kittens are rehomed for $250, which partly covers the cost of rearing and medical care. We encourage desexing to help prevent uncontrolled breeding.

Due to the huge influx of kittens, we can only accept new kittens depending on how many we currently have, as we want to make sure every one finds a good home.

Our kittens find homes quickly, so the list changes often. See our Facebook page for the kittens currently looking for a home.
